Adamawa State Commissioner for Works and Energy, Hon. Adamu Atiku-Abubakar has been named the Patron of the Atiku Care Foundation in the state.

The appointment, follows the acceptance by the Scion of the Atiku dynasty of the laudable interventions and nationwide visibility of the Foundation.

Director-General of the ACF, Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas who made the disclosure in his office on Saturday in Abuja expressed delight at the development.

In accepting this role, the Adamawa State works commissioner harped that the ACF has all it takes to change the fortunes of thousands of vulnerable Nigerians through its humanitarian interventions and pledged to do his best to sustain the initiative in the best interest of the Nigerian people.

Adamu charged the organisation on the essence of firming up its bases and respond to the growing expectations from the poor and vulnerable citizens in view of the economic conditions of the people.

“Being a public official is one, but as individuals, we must also show concerns about the plights of the people on daily basis and be ready to offer help. The mandate of the Atiku Care Foundation must interest everyone with the heart for humanity and for our people, so, I’m taking this with my eyes open and wide arms,” Abubakar had said.

In his words, the ACF leader commended Atiku for his love and commitment to philanthropic efforts in his personal convinctions and in expanded capacity to the vision of the Grand Patron of the organisation, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar.

“We are grateful to welcome you into this fold in such great and impactful capacity. This is indeed not strange, having seen you over the years leading the philanthropic initiatives in personal persuasion and we thank you for your heart of service,” Abbas said.

He said the full inclusion of the Commissioner would further boost the effectiveness of the ACF in Adamawa State and serve as inspiration to the organisation on the need to do more.
